Symbolism, Mind Development and Spiritual Communication

Tricky Stuff! Your soul is very clever!

You have all had some form of vision and experience that inspired you to thirst for further knowledge. The ancient mysteries of study do provide a means to attain that knowledge and the School of Etheric Healing teaches you these 1st Principles of personal development.

For eons of time man has been instructed by the Higher Mind within himself but may have been mostly unaware of it.

Man’s mind is composed of many centers, which send and receive transmissions of thought between higher and lower planes of consciousness though man himself is most often not even aware of this happenstance. Why? Because the conscious awareness to these activities must be built properly and developmentally fine-tuned. Therefore, man in his attempt to KNOW All Things must await appropriate instruction through the strengthening of his mind. This requires ACTION on the student’s part. Students must use their active powers of MIND and their passive powers of REFLECTION.

Higher Mind governs and controls the development and feeds the budding lower mind necessary energies at pre-determined points in time. When opportunity arises that an aspiring mind “asks” or “seeks” necessary direction, the response or guidance does come back to him in a comprehensible manner. Man would be left in the dark, were he not touched by the Rays of the All Mind.

In the beginning, Man’s Mind had capabilities far greater than what we are currently using. Most of us could not even imagine the use of such faculties of Mind in this modern day. However, one area that is not totally closed within man is the area of man’s mind that receives images and relays them to the conscious thinking portion of his brain.

Feelings and a developing emotional body also play an important role in receptive imagery; as does imagination. The emotional sentience must be awakened enough that one can feel or relate to the image and it’s meaning as well as seeing it. Dream time, and most times in meditation, the student experiences this optical relay and the feeling centres respond in kind.

Healers who assist other members of the community as well as those who participate in personal development studies should learn to pay close attention to the symbolism and images they receive and then go on to learn to interpret them.

Images without understanding seem to be of little value at first, but on the contrary, you can write down the symbol and research it’s meaning later. Let us look at one of the ways and means the Higher consciousness reaches man in order to uplift his spiritual awareness of Self.

Sleep time and Dream Time

Ever wonder why you have “bad dreams” or restless sleep? Perhaps you are floating in the lower world of illusion and emotion when you go to bed at night. When one retires for the evening it is well that you train yourself to go beyond the confusion of the astral world and instead pursue a path less traveled by many, which will take you beyond the valley to higher ground for the night.

Start to go to your own Inner Temple at night when you go to sleep. Imagine as you are lying in bed that you are walking up 7 glorious steps to a beautiful Temple. Open the door and imagine that you can go inside and lay down upon the bed provided. Then go to sleep.

This quiet place of communion has a setting that only you have created for yourself in an attempt to secure your mind in harmony with the Higher Intelligence’s. Once arriving here, you go to sleep for the night. Your Master or Teacher will engage you in a series of lessons of which you may only remember one or two. Students have also stated that they often don’t remember any of the night teachings at first. That is normal. You will get used to them and start to remember them. This is all quite reasonable considering that the time you spend in the Higher Planes is not measured by sleeping earth hours. So there is much activity unbeknownst to you. Now, the one lesson that you may remember upon arising in the morning contains vital keys to your personal growth. It would be wise to record such lessons and any images or symbols you do remember from the night.

Example: A common image is that of a sphere or ball of golden Light passed into your hands by an Angel or Master Teacher in your Healing Temple. The sphere is complete and it gives you the sense that within this sphere is a vast amount of stored knowledge once known by you.

If you examine the sphere you see that many more images are contained within it and maybe only one image stands out. Let us say that you see yourself in the sphere looking up at the Light of a great Star. There is a sense of wanting to go there or know that star. You may feel the separation and have intent of reuniting with the Light of the Star. All thoughts and feelings are well worth noting in a notepad.

You faculties of Mind must be reawakened and used. Such non-use has led to dormancy and atrophy of the pineal gland. It is time for all of us to use the pathways between the lower and higher worlds in our Mind.

When students choose the walk between the 2 pillars and stand at the entrance to the Temple of the Sun, they make the conscious choice to enter a state of self that they will not want to ever turn their back on. Students of the Mysteries walk into the realm that bids them to enter wisely. Students have never entered for fun or for profit. The student walks forward in order to meet the Master within. The student desires to see the one who shines the Light in front of them with his staff in order that you do not stumble. The Great Ones celebrate the arrival of yet another student delivered to the doorstep of the Kingdom of the Sun Temple and records this student’s journey to greater wisdom and teaching inside the Temple Walls.

Yes, many visions and images and symbols will be used in the instruction phase and all are necessary. For they reflect an inner hidden meaning; a meaning that can only be found behind the Solar Gate. The meaning of all symbols can only be properly understood past the threshold…not in a book from the store.

Images and symbols are formed transmissions of Thought from Intelligent sources. The symbol must be opened and expanded. The symbol must be taken back to its origin. Back to first principles.

Today’s lesson is not so much about the symbols themselves, but the reminder to you of their importance and your attention to them. Universal symbols of creation come into your mind daily. Use them.

The Mystery Schools teach you the fundamental principles of early symbolism and their accepted application and I encourage you to step forward earnestly and seek the hidden meaning behind your illusionary world of manifestation and form. This is the message of today.

EXERCISE

This is to remind you of the importance of mental exercises, which include focusing, imagination and reflection.

1. Gold ball exercise. Close your eyes and imagine you can see and feel a gold ball in your left hand. Make the experience feel real. Then create a similar ball to your right hand. Again, make it real.
2. Now you have the ball in both hands at the same time.
3. Now create a third ball but suspend it in mid-air above the first two at the level of your heart in front of you. You have now created a triad of three balls simultaneously.
4. Now imagine you have a golden ball above your head suspended in mid air and have it glow like the light of the sun.
5. Finally, imagine you have a golden ball below your feet that connects you through both of your feet to the earth. Let this ball shine brightly in your mind.

Hold this feeling in your mind for 2 or 3 minutes and then let is go and come back fully to an awakened state.
